CONTENTS OF ARTICLES :

This newsgroup contains call for papers, announcements of conferences,
seminars, workshops, thesis defense, debates, public meetings, ...
provided that they are public events. To be published,
the announcements should be written in French. Announcements
written in English are nevertheless published when they concern
international events held in French-speaking countries/regions.

Please check that all the necessary information about the announced
event are provided in the article, and give the address of the
     contact person.

FORMAT OF THE "SUBJECT" FIELD :
In order to ease the article selection in the newsgroup, the
"subject" field of the article should contain the following
information : nature of the event (conference, seminar, thesis
defense, etc.), its name or objective (title or/some keywords), its
     holding date and place.

| The following syntax must be used :

| Subject: - - - -

| Articles containing announcements for commercial seminars or conferences
| must use the following syntax :

| Subject: [BIZ] - - - -

     Where :
: CONF (conference), SEM (seminar), THESE (thesis
defense, ATELIER (workshop), AAC (call for papers),
ECOLE (course, summer school, ...), DEBAT (debate, meeting),
     SALON (exposition).
| : Name or keywords briefly describing the event, or
| acronym. NAME can be made of two parts : "ORGANISM : NAME",
| where "ORGANISM" is the name of a well-known organization where
| the conference takes place. See articles in the group for examples.
: DD/MM/YY format. If the event takes place within more than
a single day, give the first one.
: Name of the city where the event is being held.
: ISO code of the country (the one that appear in
internet addresses), or the province (Canada).
Codes to be used are : FR (France), CH (Switzerland), BE
(Belgium), CA (Canada. Optionally, QC for Quebec), etc.

| Articles which do not respect this format can be refused by
| the moderators.

SPECIAL CHARACTERS PROBLEM :
Special characters - and, generally speaking, any feature that
makes the reading difficult - should be avoided. These features
include : accents (use only 7-bits ASCII mode), control characters,
tabs (prefer space chars). In case you provide a formatted
version of the announcement (e.g. LaTeX), please include it at the end
     of the article.
Please avoid control characters, tabulations (spaces are preferred),
and more generally anything that is not coded with the ISO-latin1
(aka ISO 8859-1) convention. In particular, please do not send
     messages encoded in Quoted-Printable.

| Articles in HTML encoding, containing VCards or in MIME-Multipart
| are refused by moderators without notice.
